چکیده

Introduction: Nasopharyngeal cancer (NPC) is a prevalent diagnosis of head and neck cancers (HNC) in Asia. In Indonesia, it estimated that there are 12,000 new cases per year. Case Presentation: The author reports 25-year-old male patient with recurrent NPC. This was first diagnosed NPC stage IVB 2013 treated by chemoradiation. 2016, he found another mass his neck. biopsy result showed the recurrence histopathology Undifferentiated carcinoma (WHO type III). Re-irradiation planned, subsequently received 3D-Conformal Radiotherapy (3D-CRT) at our department. Four years after completion re-irradiation, alive well no signs but still complained about late toxicities like trismus fibrotic Conclusions: this study, we discuss use 3D-CRT re-irradiation its limitation on obtaining optimum dose sculpture compared to more sophisticated widely spread modalities intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT). However, careful planning, can obtain tumor dose, minimize organs at-risk (OAR) come after. We hope study bring centers limited facilities, suggest further studies especially OAR tolerance guidelines.

Re-irradiation of recurrent esophageal cancer after primary definitive radiotherapy

PURPOSE For recurrent esophageal cancer after primary definitive radiotherapy, no general treatment guidelines are available. We evaluated the toxicities and clinical outcomes of re-irradiation (re-RT) for recurrent esophageal cancer. MATERIALS AND METHODS We analyzed 10 patients with recurrent esophageal cancer treated with re-RT after primary definitive radiotherapy. The median time interva...

Long term follow up of recurrent uterine cervical cancer: A Case Report

Background and Aim: Carcinoma of the uterine cervix is a significant cause of mortality because of malignancy in women. Radiotherapy is a major treatment modality for invasive cervical cancer with good treatment outcome in early-stage patients. However, substantial treatment failures still occur in the advanced-stage patients. In this case report a long term follow up of a 58 years old woman wi...
